Conferences

Conferences and workshops provided by the Autism Awareness Centre (AACI) are designed to provide all parents and professionals with up-to-date and relevant information and resources and skills that can be taken back and immediately implemented into the care and training of those who have autism or other related disabilities.

Care is taken to ensure that all sessions are interactive and not just lecture based. We believe by providing this format, parents and professionals alike will gain a better understanding of the practical application of the material being presented, making it easier to use and understand.

Many of the theories and practices presented in every workshop are transferable to other disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Tourette Syndrome and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome to name a few.

What sets us apart from other organizations is our on-going support to all delegates who need it long after the conference is over. Whether you are looking for a particular book, toy, organization in your area or other support, delegates may contact:

Maureen Bennie at maureen.aaci@shaw.ca or 1-403-640-2710
Vicki Harris at vharris@shaw.ca
